I know lots of people are glad to see the back of 2018 but personally, it's been pretty awesome! I've loved every single wedding and shoot I've done, and made a lot of new friends from doing them. It's probably been my busiest year and my first full year with my little girl, Evie, which has been both wonderful and challenging (but mostly just loads of fun!)
I continued to push myself to use more 35mm and vintage lenses in my work as I did last year which I'll keep doing as it's often when I hit the point where I'm closest to how I want my work to look.
I have continued my approach to wedding photography which is keeping it very natural and relaxed and nothing too cheesy while also trying to be quite artistic and creative, making the most of beautiful light, or interesting backdrops and locations. All while trying to capture real moments of tenderness and love, or at the very least making people look bloody great :)

WE LOVED CRAIG’S STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND KNEW WE WANTED HIM TO BE PART OF OUR DAY AS SOON AS WE FIRST SAW HIS WORK. CRAIG INSTANTLY PUTS YOU AT EASE WITH HIS CALM AND JOYFUL DEMEANOUR. LAID BACK AND FRIENDLY BUT AT THE SAME TIME INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL AND HIGHLY SKILLED. HE WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SHOTS WERE PERFECT BY SURVEYING THE AREA BEFOREHAND AND CHATTING WITH US TO DISCUSS IDEAS, REALLY GETTING A FEEL FOR WHO WE WERE AND WHAT WE WANTED FROM OUR PHOTOGRAPHS. HE MANAGED TO CAPTURE OUR DAY BEAUTIFULLY.

You were amazing on the day, we barely even realised you were around and yet you have captured so many special moments! I have admired your wedding photography for a long time and like the natural style of your picture taking, which has been reflected in our album beautifully. Instead of stifled and forced family group shots we have some really great personal images; the ones you caught of me with my Nana are amongst my favourites, you’ve captured my relationship with her brilliantly. Also, the shots you got of Richard’s family dog Sasha, she passed away not long after the wedding and so to have those pictures and videos are an amazing way to remember her by!
I really liked how you’d come and grab us if the light in space was great, or you thought a particular wall would make a great shot. It has paid off and we have had so many compliments on the pictures since.

I’m not sure we can actually put into words how good this guy is!
He nailed our brief – creative, discreet, informal, serene but slightly quirky – we thought he was fab the first time we met him! The engagement shoot was so much fun and he didn’t care that we dragged him up on Ilkley Moor or that our 5 year old wanted to be centre stage!! The wedding photos blew us away. Just fantastic. He captured everything we’d ever need to remember and did it with such flare and style. We can’t thank you enough for coming on this journey with us. Shame you can’t be our permanent photographer…we never look this good on a selfie
