Real Film Wedding Videography ~ 8mm & 16mm
We shoot a roll of 8mm film as part of all of our wedding films. 8mm is a vintage film format that we shoot on vintage cameras. We think it has a lovely nostalgic, timeless, romantic look that is perfect for wedding films.
It loves light and can produce really lovely lens flare when shot towards the sun which we love to do.
It's a look that just can't be faked perfectly digitally. Believe me, I've tried and I do sometimes use digital footage with 8mm effects on but it's never as good as the real thing.
Each roll shoots roughly 3 minutes of footage that is then sent to be developed, scanned and digitised.
I've also recently added a 16mm Bolex to my collection so will be starting to use that more in my films too.
Take a look at our 8mm only edits of films below and if you love what you see get in touch!

Yorkshire Wedding Videographer ~ stories of friendship & love
We use a combination of HD digital and 8mm vintage film edited to music to create beautiful wedding films that capture your day. These aren’t the old-school hour long wedding videos your Auntie made you sit through that one time, these are beautifully crafted short films of your day.
